Introduction

Welcome to the web site of the Royal Air Force (RAF) Detachment based at Calgary International Airport in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

RAF Calgary is responsible for the management of Royal Air Force aircraft that transit Western Canada and arrange facilities required for any RAF aircraft, its passenger, flight crew or cargo. Our geographic area of responsibility stretches from the Manitoba/Ontario border in the east to the Pacific Coast in the west. In fact, our area remains one of the busiest parts of the world for RAF aircraft. RAF transport aircraft deliver soldiers to both Calgary and Edmonton, RAF airmen to CFB Cold Lake and many types of RAF aircraft pass through enroute to the USA.

RAF Calgary is a part of the Royal Air Force's air transport organization and our main tasks are associated with airlift management and transport aircraft dispatch. We are a Detachment of Headquarters No 2 Group, which is part of Headquarters Strike Command. Next Page >>
