There are some great hotels in Western Canada, as well as all the usual car hire companies.  Most of the hotels and car hire companies will offer discounted rates, at various times of the year.

HOTELS

If you are a serving member of the MOD, telephone us and we can secure a discounted rate at some of Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg's finest hotels.  (The hotel will ask for proof of your MOD status).  Calgary and Edmonton are great cities for any length of stay, but also great for a stop-over to get over your jet-lag before heading into the Rockies!

However, please be aware that we cannot get a discount during the Calgary Stampede week.

CAR HIRE

If you are a serving member of the MOD and travelling to Calgary, we can get you a discounted rate with Budget and Avis, but it is worth 'shopping around' as many companies offer short-term/seasonal discounts.  If you are visiting in the summer, especially July or August, you will need to give the hire company as much notice as possible, as the availability lessens in these peak summer months.
